Elbow Tree Co-Op serves as a resource for promoting firefighter resilience in our local community. We have become a dedicated rallying point for linking firefighters with locally vetted, firefighter informed, licensed clinicians from trusted private practices all throughout our community.
MINIMUM STANDARD:
Within six months of involvement with Elbow Tree Cooperative;

MINIMUM STANDARD:
- A mental health professional in good standing with their licensing authority.
- Maintains professional liability insurance policy of $1M/$3M.
- Comfortable with being a 1099 Independent Contractor.
- Commitment to complete any other training necessary to possess the skills and ability to competently work with fire rescue personnel.
Within six months of involvement with Elbow Tree Cooperative;
- Certificate of Completion of the Florida Fire Chiefs Health and Safety Collaborative Clinician Awareness Training
- 10 hours of documented ride time at a fire rescue department.
- Pursuing inclusion in the Redline Rescue database.
OPPORTUNITIES:
- Deploy to different fire stations before and after critical incidents to provide critical incident stress debriefs and if needed, organize critical incident stress management events.
- Assist in the development and delivery of continuing education training for the peer to peer counselors.
- Work alongside the peer to peer counselors to identify mental health trends plaguing the department.
- Provide culturally relevant educational opportunities to all personnel regarding pertinent behavioral health topics.
- See and treat firefighter employees, spouses and children. .
